What is filler?

The term "filler" in Italian translates as "filler" and is an injectable substance used in aesthetic medicine to give volume to the various structures of the body which, for physiological or pathological causes, require a filling substance.

The purpose of the filler is to give greater definition and/or volume to the lips, cheekbones and the various areas that need the correction of wrinkles and blemishes caused by structural failure over time.

Usually these are products based on hyaluronic acid, which is already produced naturally by our body and has the purpose of hydrating and supporting the tissues.

Based on the anatomical area to be treated, the best injection technique is evaluated and a type of filler with structural characteristics suitable for that specific tissue is chosen. In fact, there are lower or higher density fillers with free or cross-linked hyaluronic acid.

The specialist will be able to choose the most suitable filler for each specific treatment and for each individual patient.
