Invisible aligners: the future of aesthetic orthodontics!

Invisible orthodontics represents a modern teeth alignment technique through the use of removable transparent aligners which are worn for approximately 22 hours a day as they are only removed to eat during meals. With masks, in fact, it is possible to drink water without any problem but it is not possible to eat either hard or soft foods. If you drink coffee, tea, red fruit juice and other liquids that stain or are hot, you should remove your masks before drinking.

Invisible aligners are aesthetic, easy to use and you can talk to them easily without discomfort. After a few days, each aligner is replaced by the next to continue orthodontic therapy. The important thing is the collaboration of the patient who must be motivated and precise in the timing of the treatment plan, following the dentist's instructions. The masks, in fact, are removable and the patient manages them independently, unlike the fixed appliance which does not require the patient's collaboration since it is mounted in the mouth by the dentist in a fixed manner. Instead of traditional metal brackets, composite attachments are used with aligners which always attach to the surface of the teeth but are white and are usually not noticeable, except in specific cases where they are required in the frontal sectors (incisors and canines) but are never visible like metal brackets.

However, it is always important to consult with the dentist/orthodontist to evaluate whether a specific case can be treated with invisible aligners or whether, instead, it requires traditional orthodontic appliances and how the duration of the treatment plan varies between one technique and another.

So if your desire has always been to align your teeth without anyone noticing, today it is finally possible thanks to the wonderful advantages of modern invisible aesthetic orthodontics!
